Adding and resolving vector quantities

 

The first sheet of notes on vectors explains the difference between a vector quantity and a scalar with a number of examples of each. The notes then go on to illustrate how vectors can be added / combined using the two most common examples of force and velocity.

The second sheet gives two examples of times we might want to do the opposite, that is to split or resolve a vector into two parts.
