Motion equations and graphs

The first page of notes below covers an introduction to the equations of motion used in both physics and maths and an explanation of the independence of horizontal and vertical motion.

The second runs through the common graph shapes of motion graphs. These are distance/time graphs and velocity time graphs both of which are often seen in GCSE (14 to 16) and in A level (16 to 18) physics.

The third sheet is a more detailed explanation of the use of velocity time graphs including the use of the graph to calculate acceleration and total distance travelled.
